Spacetime: Building a Bridge Between Space, Education, and Industry

Spacetime is a Oxford-founded hybrid organisation bridging engineering, education, and public engagement — supporting over 20 industry clients and reaching more than 20,000 students while making space expertise accessible far beyond traditional industry boundaries.

Since its inception, Spacetime has been driven by a simple but ambitious goal: to make space expertise and experience accessible beyond traditional industry boundaries.

Founded in Oxford, Spacetime was established to connect three worlds that rarely operate together at scale – engineering and enterprise, education, and public engagement. Over time, this vision has evolved into a unique operating model that combines technical credibility with real-world delivery.

Through its Augmentation Services, Spacetime has supported over 20 organisations, providing embedded engineering, business development, and delivery expertise across space, robotics, AI, and defence-adjacent programmes. This work has been underpinned by a team that includes NASA- and ESA-trained professionals, enabling Spacetime to operate credibly alongside established industry players.

In parallel, Spacetime’s Educational Outreach programmes have reached more than 20,000 students across schools, colleges, and universities. These initiatives are designed not only to inspire, but to equip participants with practical insight into how space technologies shape modern society and industry.

Most recently, Space Store supported the Girls Day School Trust’s Space Technology Diploma Programme Viva Voce day, held on 23 June 2025 at Viasat’s London Headquarters to mark International Women in Engineering Day.

The event brought together more than 50 students and teachers for hands-on activities including satellite communications demonstrations, coding challenges, virtual reality experiences, and Viva Voce presentations — exemplifying the power of partnership and mentorship in nurturing the next generation of space professionals.

The launch of Space Store Oxford further extended this mission, creating a public-facing platform for immersive space experiences and introducing Spacetime’s broader services to the wider public.

Today, Spacetime Development continues to grow as a hybrid organisation – one that delivers tangible outcomes while building long-term capability, understanding, and opportunity through space.
