SPACE-THEMED EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING

Workshops & Enrichment Days That Inspire

We offer a portfolio of 20+ hands-on space and STEM activities for students aged 5–24. Activities can be delivered individually or combined to create bespoke half-day or full-day programmes tailored to your curriculum needs.

Satellite Treasure Hunt

SATELLITE TREASURE HUNT

Become a satellite! Learn how satellites take images of the Earth and identify objects within the image.

  • Duration: 15-20 minutes
  • Recommended Ages: 5-13 years

SPACE VIRTUAL REALITY

Step inside immersive virtual space environments and explore planets, moons, spacecraft, and orbital missions without leaving the classroom. Students experience space concepts first-hand, helping to build understanding through visualisation and interaction.

  • Duration: 5-15 minutes per virtual reality experince
  • Recommended Ages: 7-18 years

REPLICA ASTRONAUT SPACE SUITS

Students try on high-quality replica astronaut space suits and learn how they protect astronauts in the extreme conditions of space. The activity introduces life-support systems, human spaceflight, and the challenges of working beyond Earth.

  • Duration: 15-30 minutes
  • Recommended Ages: 5-18 years

SPACE & STEM Bricks

Design, build, and test engineering solutions using LEGO to solve space-themed challenges. Students explore core engineering concepts such as structures, mechanisms, and problem-solving through hands-on, collaborative play.

  • Duration: 45-90 minutes
  • Recommended Ages: 7-18 years

ASTRONAUT GLOVE BOX

Experience the challenge of working in space by completing precision tasks while wearing replica astronaut gloves. This activity demonstrates the effects of bulky equipment on dexterity and problem-solving.

  • Duration: 15-30 minutes
  • Recommended Ages: 5-14 years

Q/A WITH A ROCKET SCIENTIST

Students engage in a live or in-person Q&A session with a real rocket scientist or space engineer. The session explores space missions, engineering challenges, and career pathways in the space sector (or any other bespoke topic in Space).

  • Duration: 30-60 minutes
  • Recommended Ages: 5-18 years

AUGMENTED REALITY

Use augmented reality to bring spacecraft, planets, and satellites into the classroom. Students interact with digital models layered onto the real world, supporting deeper understanding of space systems and environments.

  • Duration: 15-30 minutes
  • Recommended Ages: 5-18 years

SPACE TALKS

Inspiring, age-appropriate talks delivered by space industry professionals covering space exploration, current missions, and future careers. Sessions are designed to spark curiosity and broaden students’ awareness of STEM pathways.

  • Duration: 30-60 minutes
  • Recommended Ages: 5-18 years

METEORITES

Handle real meteorites and learn how scientists identify, classify, and study material from space. This activity connects geology, chemistry, and astronomy through tangible, hands-on exploration with genuine authenticated space rocks.

  • Duration: 15-30 minutes
  • Recommended Ages: 7-18 years

ASTRONAUT TRAINING EXERCISES

Physical and cognitive exercises inspired by real astronaut training programmes. Students learn how astronauts prepare for spaceflight while developing teamwork, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

  • Duration: 15-30 minutes
  • Recommended Ages: 5-16 years

SPACE ELEVATOR

Forget rockets. What if you could get to space by simply… going up?
That’s the big question behind this workshop, where students team up to build model space elevators out of K’NEX. It sounds wild, but space elevators are a real concept being seriously explored by engineers and scientists around the world — and now your students get to wrestle with the same challenges.

Working in teams, they’ll figure out how to keep a structure stable, how to manage tension and forces, and what happens when their first (and second) design doesn’t quite hold up.

The best moments in this session come from the rebuilding — the “wait, what if we tried it this way?” conversations that happen naturally when students are genuinely invested in solving a problem together.

There’s real physics happening, real engineering thinking, and usually a healthy amount of friendly competition. It’s messy, energetic, and exactly the kind of lesson students talk about afterwards.

  • Duration: 45-90 minutes
  • Recommended Ages: 5-16 years

BUILD A SATELLITE

Design and assemble a model cube-satellite while learning about real spacecraft subsystems such as power, communications, and payloads. Students gain insight into how satellites are engineered and why they are critical to modern life.

  • Duration: 45-90 minutes
  • Recommended Ages: 11-18 years

CODING ACTIVITIES

Learn the basics of coding through space-themed challenges linked to satellites, robotics, and data. Activities introduce logical thinking and problem-solving in an accessible, engaging way.

  • Duration: 45-90 minutes
  • Recommended Ages: 8-18 years
